Carol Orndorff
Carol Orndorff has served in the professional services industry since 1982
as a leadership and communication consultant, facilitator, and client
liaison. She joined Dorrier Underwood in 2007 following 25 years of managing key
projects for higher education, healthcare, and the "built" industries.
A well-respected executive coach, Carol is sought out for her expertise in enhancing
team performance and known for generous listening which inspires unexpected
insights and unpredictable results.
Carol has participated in a number of corporate educational programs focused on
collaboration and partnering, developing teams, and communication and
accountability. She is currently being coached in the Results Coaching
Systems, a science-based, results-oriented coaching methodology to help individuals
and organizations facilitate positive change.
Since 1997, Ms. Orndorff has worked alongside of Federal and State government
leaders on strategic planning activities and project implementation. Over a 6 year
period, Carol conducted Value Engineering Studies (9) for capital projects totaling
over $625M in construction costs, and was responsible for developing industry leaders
in the Value and Life Cycle process, and facilitating their efforts toward producing
“best value” capital programs.
She has also coached and developed healthcare professionals in leadership and
management, conflict resolution and collaboration, and business practices,
including developing a mentor/leadership program for doctors and their staff.
Carol is passionate about environmental and corporate sustainability. She believes
anything can happen, as long as people are open, honest, and willing to keep
communicating. Her many years of striving to live a life consistent with what she
values have brought her to a simple aphorism: "Look, look.....look again."
An educator by training, Carol holds a BS in Education from the Center for
Teaching and Leaning at University of North Dakota at Grand Forks, and completed Post
Baccalaureate studies in Special Education at the University of North Carolina at
Charlotte. She is also a Qualified Value Technician with Value Engineering Society
International and a 1992 graduate of Leadership Sandy Springs.
Carol loves traveling, playing sports, yoga, Qui Gong, drumming, gardening, and
the art of collage. She lives in Atlanta with her partner, Liz.
